Mixed media on cradled board, 20 x 16 inches

In 2020, we moved to "midcoast" Maine, and although I have a studio, I avoided it for a while. When I began working, one of the first pieces I made was "Coastal Range". It was borne of longing for Oregon, my home for 29 years. I wanted the painting to evoke green, green Oregon. I worked with collage pieces (tissue). And as I worked I started seeing: the sky meets mountains meets field. And I was just thinking of home.
